Course structure

The Mesa of Alchemy is a four month online retreat. It has four month-long stages: Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Each stage begins with a 3 hour group session, live online.

The fifth and final stage, Alchemy, is a 3 hour live session at the end of the course.

You can see a breakdown of each stage by signing up for the Free Preview, however you will not be able to access the content of the stages prior to signing up for the full course.

If you can't make these dates please use the Alternative Dates form on that page to let us know. Tell us your country of residence (for time zone reasons) and your preferred day of the week for the live sessions.

We can't promise live sessions on your preferred day—it depends on demand—but we'll do our best to get you to the Mesa of Alchemy! 

How much is it?

The Mesa of Alchemy is £444.

We are currently unable to offer payment plans but hope to do so in the near future.

What if I miss a session? 

All live sessions will be recorded, and a link posted in our private online community.

Refund policy

The Mesa of Alchemy is a collective retreat, and the integrity of the group is essential.

If you sign up and change your mind 14 days before the start of the course, i.e. the first live session, you will receive a 50% refund.

Please note we are unable to offer refunds within 14 days of the start of the course.

How long will I have access?

Participants get lifetime access to course materials and the Threads of the Weave online community.

We reserve the right to remove participants from the course or online community if they violate our code of conduct.

I'm new to all this...

The Mesa of Alchemy is designed for newbies and experienced travellers alike. In fact, there is an alchemy in that.

How much time will I need?

The Mesa of Alchemy is a four month overall commitment to unlocking your genius.

Each monthly stage begins with a 3 hour live session. We recommend you spend a minimum of one hour prior to the session to familiarise yourself with the element and gene key we will be working with.

How much time you devote to self study during the rest of the stage is up to you. We recommend a daily practice, which might include a 15 minute morning meditation or contemplation, to help you cultivate a contemplative frame of mind.

We suggest devoting about 2-3 hours per week to mesa building, reflective journaling and practicing the exercises given in the course. The more you put in, the more you'll get out of it! But we have very mycg designed things so you can fit the essentials into a busy life.

Do I need any special materials or resources?

We recommend you keep a pen and paper journal, to capture notes, thoughts and feelings during the live sessions and your self study during the month.

You don't need to have a mesa or shamanic altar prior to the course starting. The course will teach you how to build, activate and use a mesa.

If you have one already, you'll learn how to charge it with the specific transformational energies of the elements and gene keys. You will need your mesa set out, and a space where you won't be disturbed for the duration of the live session.

What tech do I need?

You'll need a phone or computer connected to Wifi capable of handling a Zoom call, i.e. with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps, and ideally 20 Mbps.

It's important that you join the live sessions from a quiet space with a minimum of background noise or interference.

What is the Gene Keys?

The Gene Keys is a system downloaded especially for these times of evolutionary change by Richard Rudd. It is a stunning synthesis of astrology, I Ching and Human Design.

The Mesa of Alchemy includes substantial guidance on the Gene Keys. It's important to remember that integrating the wisdom of the Gene Keys into your life takes time.

Each month we will be contemplating one of the four Gene Keys of the Activation Sequence. The live session will cover the respective part of the Activation Sequence.

You will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings about your particular Gene Key with a partner, and with the group.

We encourage you to explore the Gene Keys website, where can you download your Gene Keys profile and listen the audio of the Gene Key of your Life's Work, the first Gene Key of what is called the Activation Sequence, for free.

For a comprehensive guide to the Gene Keys, we encourage you to purchase the book by Richard Rudd. You may also want to purchase the audio guides for the other 3 keys in your Activation Sequence.

It's important to remember that integrating the wisdom of the Gene Keys into your life takes time. The Mesa of Alchemy is both a fantastic introduction and a path to manifesting the transformational alchemy of the Gene Keys.

Why do Gene Keys here?

The Mesa of Alchemy is a unique opportunity to do the transformational work of the Gene Keys in the company of a group.

While this is a profoundly personal work, the Mesa of Alchemy offers the structure of a retreat and the support of a group.

The Gene Keys manifest especially, if not entirely, in our relationships with others. Transpersonal alchemy happens when we see ourselves in another.

Each Mesa of Alchemy retreat is limited to a maximum of 22 participants. We feel this is an ideal (and magical) number to balance attention between individual and collective transformation. The Gene Keys periodically runs their own live retreats. These tend to have much larger groups.

The Mesa of Alchemy uniquely combines the Gene Keys Activation Sequence with the four elements and the mesa in an alchemical synthesis. The sum is more than the parts!
